Some coaches try to offer different levels of training. I don’t believe that works. My rate is $200 a month, with as much contact as necessary. At times this amounts to one call or e-mail a week, just to see how things are going. Other times there is much, much more than that. A contact structure cannot, by its very nature, accomodate for times when an athlete has problems, or issues which require more contact than “One hour a month”.
Life gets in the way, and schedules need to be modified. Most everyone who pushes their body to the limit manages to get sick once or twice a year. This requires contact with ones coach to determine the best possible balance between resting to let the body recover, while at the same time not losing too much fitness. Again, not possible with 4 e-mails a month.
I believe in goal-oriented, reality-based training. I also believe in delivering serious value. Your biggest training investment = spending time on the bike. For $200 a month, I help you amplify that investment by providing as much contact and guidance as necessary to help you achieve your goals.
At times, this may mean just one call or e-mail a week, just to see how things are going. Other times there is much, much more than that. A “standard†contact structure cannot, by its very nature, accommodate for the inevitable (or unexpected!) times when an athlete experiences problems, issues, challenges, or even illness. Life gets in the way, and schedules need to be modified. My flexible contact policy adapts to your life.
I work with you in a dynamic, real-time manner to create the best possible balance between developing strength, allowing for recovery, and maintaining continual forward momentum toward your personal cycling goals. .
The fee of $200 a month includes:
Personalized monthly schedule that advances your cycling-specific goals while accounting for the reality of your personal/working life schedule.
Ron is also available on an hourly basis to ride with new cyclists to help overcome the initial intimidation of getting out on the road. Learn how to “do it right†from the start. Experienced riders can also benefit from hourly sessions. Skills in descending, riding in a pack, how to safely navigate traffic, among others are covered.
Cost: $50/hr.
Discounts available for Big Orange Racing, Veloworx, La Grange and South Bay Wheelmen members.
